MMC Pembetungan Langat Sdn Bhd, marked the first milestone of Langat Sewerage Project with the initial flow of 65,000 Population Equivalent (PE) into the Langat Centralised Sewage Treatment Plant in Kampung Sungai Balak, Kajang. The next flow of 230,000 PE which covers approximately 40% of the catchment areas will be received by next year.

Gas Malaysia Berhad has been conferred with two prestigious awards under the Utilities Sector at “The Edge Billion Ringgit Club Corporate Awards 2019” ceremony based on its financial performance from the financial year 2015 to 2018. The first award received by Gas Malaysia was the “Highest Return on Equity Over Three Years” and the second award received was the “Highest Growth in Profit After Tax Over Three Years”.

Malakoff Corporation Berhad bagged three awards under the Utility Sector category which were Gold Merit for Prai Power Plant, Gold Class 1 for Lumut Power Plant and Glass Class 2 for Tanjung Bin Power Plant during the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Award 2018 organised by Malaysian Society for Occupational Safety and Health (MSOSH).

MMC Engineering Sdn Bhd received two awards from Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Award 2018 organised by Malaysian Society for Occupational Safety and Health (MSOSH) which were for North-Butterworth Container Terminal (NBCT) and Lembaga Kemajuan Pertanian Muda (MADA) project. Both projects were presented with Gold Merit Award and Gold Class 1 Award respectively.

The awards were presented to Malakoff for Lean Six Sigma projects on Scaffolding Lead Time Improvement at Tanjung Bin Power Plant and  C-Inspection Process Improvement at Lumut Power Plant

Port of Tanjung Pelepas became the first port in Southeast Asia to welcome Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) latest and largest container vessel aptly named MSC Gulsun as part of its maiden voyage in the South East Asia region. From this historic calling of MSC Gulsun, PTP became the first port in the world to hit back to back record for highest TEUs.

Northport (Malaysia) Bhd clinched Gold Award at the Regional Team Excellence Convention 2019 held at Sheraton Imperial, Kuala Lumpur. Organised by the Malaysia Productivity Corporation for the central region, Northport won the top category with a project titled Long Mean-Time-To-Repair to Quay Crane Operation during Breakdown Due to Power Disruption.

Langat 2 Water Treatment Plant project started testing and commissioning work with raw water from Pahang, transfer through the Semantan Intake Point which is located 44 km away from the Langat 2 Water Treatment Plant site.

Johor Port Berhad welcomed MSC Apollo as the largest container ship ever calls at the Johor Port Container Terminal. With 300-metre of overall length and 5,000 TEUs cargo capacity, the vessel came alongside the terminal with an exchange of 1,000 move counts of empty discharge.

Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd set a new world record to depart a vessel – Monaco Maersk, one of Maersk’s 2nd Generation Triple-E vessels with the record load of 19,284 TEUs, surpassing the previous record load of 19,190 TEUs achieved by the MOL Tribune vessel in February this year.

Johor Port Berhad broke new ground with a regional-scale training programme conducted by JP Skills Centre (JPSC) entitled Port Continuous Improvements Programme (PCIP) for PT Pelabuhan Indonesia IV (PELINDO IV). The training programme will resume for other ports in Indonesia under PELINDO IV.
